What is the job market like for your members?

Generally, there is a shortage of skilled personnel. In Kommunal it is especially among nurses and cooks it stands out. The situation is special, since it is shortage of trained nurses while there are 53,000 temporary employees in elderly care and 18,000 in the healthcare sector. An incredible pool of expertise that could be used in a better way.

How is the response from those who you talked to?

Exclusively positive reactions when we tell them about the pilot project and what we offer to our members.

A company with a good attitude and easy to work with.

How do you think the labour market will change over the next 5 years?

Demand for the vocational education of high quality will increase as a result of the need of qualified skilled workers in the welfare sector, but also in other industries. The requirement for entitlement to professional development will increase and force solutions which provide opportunities for development in the profession that I chosen to educate myself within. A developed and accessible Adult Education will play a big role.
